Miguel Hoeltje studied philosophy, linguistics, and psychology at the University of Hamburg. After obtaining his first degree (Magister Artium) with a thesis in the philosophy of action, he spent one year at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford. Miguel obtained his PhD in 2010 with a thesis entitled Truth, Meaning, and Form. In late 2010, he left phlox and moved to Essen where he tries to enjoy the climate. Miguel works primarily in the philosophy of language (especially on so-called truth conditional semantics) and the philosophy of logic.
